A Lazy Girl's Journey of Self - Actualization

The fact that a pandemic led to this still leaves me in awe. I mean who knew that an introvert like me would be expressing myself to the world someday? The journey hasn't been a piece of cake though, from taking time out for myself to feeling sick and tired of the mundane life I was living, the pandemic was both a blessing and a curse to me.

As someone who is a sucker for road trips and adventure, being stuck at home felt more like living in a dungeon. Mood swings, craving for excitement, arguing with others, feeling insecure about myself and recalling the good old days were my daily dose of quarantine. Piling up everything I was feeling wasn't healthy but it was only when I reached my limit that I realised how essential it was to look after myself in every kind.

As I began my journey to self love, I became the protagonist of my own story and observed that one of the most important aspects which leads one to the path of happiness is loving oneself.

As for my interests, by far you know I love traveling and one thing that I have grown to admire is fashion. Why fashion? Because it's so much more than just wearing trendy clothes! It's a way I represent my true personality to the outside world. It's something that uplifts me when I'm feeling low and allows me to be the person I aspire to be - an independent, confident woman. My obsession with fashion has left me wondering if I could turn it into a career someday.

Coming from a Himalayan family, I am someone who has seen the handicraft industry from up-close and have known how nature plays an important part in our lives and so not only do I wish to build a fashion brand but also spread sustainable awareness through it. Further, as someone who has experienced body shaming during my school days, I have deeply experienced the backward thinking of our society but fashion helped me reflect my true identity to the world no matter the consequences.

Therefore the mantras of my brand would be eco-fashion and changing the stereotypical mindset of society that there is an "ideal" size for wearing certain types of clothes.

I believe it is essential to have a world where we can follow our interests without harming the environment as well as empower each other to do the things that hold our interests.
